Workshop Summary:

Improv is easy! People just try to make it unnecessarily hard. Learn a methodical and repeatable framework to discover everything you need to do great improv scenes – no prep needed! Cut through the bull crap, make it easy, and let your natural talent do the heavy lifting.

Good for: Beginner – Expert Improvisers

What You'll Explore:
  • Environment and object work to create a personal safe space to work from.
  • Using reactions to develop stakes and investment.
  • Using movement to define characters and character wants & needs.
  • Establishing memorable connections that both players and audiences can believe in and be invested in.

Special Instructions: Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that one can easily move in. .

About Improñol:

Blad Moreno and Nelson Velazquez, both from Chicago, combine their life experiences in the United States and Venezuela together in a seamless improvised narrative where language knows no borders. The duo, known as Improñol, uses English and Spanish interchangeably while providing memorable characters and relationships in a fast-paced show. The duo have been featured at the Countdown Improv Festival (Tampa), Chicago Improv Festival, and the Das Improv Festival (Germany) amongst many, many others.

This workshop is part of the annual Improvapalooza fest which is a weekend celebrating improv in St. Augustine.

Improñol will be performing in the Improvapalooza early show on Saturday, March 22, at 7:00 p.m.
